OUR BEGINNING

The Rihanyo Project is the brainchild of Kjaere Baloyi, a Californian who moved to South Africa in 2014 to teach preschool for 18 months. After seeing the different problems the children faced due to lack of resources, she decided to create the Rihanyo Initiative (now called the Rihanyo Project) in the hope of bringing improvements to the lives of these people.
